I think "Wow!" every time I pass my hand over my Cube to wake it up or put it to sleep. And the G3 Powerbook still wows me as a piece of design. All my ex-Macs get passed on to my kids.

That's what I've been hoping for ever since I downloaded the first TV shows on iTunes. 320x240 was not exactly fullscreen goodness even at 1024x768.

It appears that you need to repurchase your pre iTunes 7.0 music videos if you want the improved quality. I experimented by repurchasing one of my pre iTunes 7.0 music videos. I now have two copies of the same music video. One at the old resolution; the other at the new resolution.

I believe this to be unsatisfactory. This is not a format change, but an incremental quality improvement. My computer is authorised, my account is valid, and my downloads legal.

Apple is getting two bites at the cherry!

I can't believe AT&T still won't unlock iPhones: In the UK, O2 will unlock anyone's contract phone for free (you just need to ask), and a PAYG one for �15 (plus the loss of the free web bolt on you get for the first 12 months).

Disable the VPN server software then reboot your mac and enable the software, then test connecting.

I tried what you suggested, but no dice. The connection is attempted, I see it coming in but finally it craps out.

No, comex did it, so its possible. As said a million times before, he has not released it because it contains proprietary code which he does not own, and it as of now it does not work on other than 4.3 (one of the multiple exploites he used was patched).

Im hoping that d0nfyxn's jailbreak is real, allthough its probably fake, i think its our best chance at a jailbreak within a month.

With Comex no linger working on the ipad2 JB looks like d0fxyn is the only hope at this point. Wow, not sure why but didn't think it would be this sure when I bought my ipad2.

You can use the Migration Assistant and select the Time Machine drive, then select the file types you'd like to move over if you're looking to move things like apps, documents, preferences, etc rather than just specific files. For specific files, there are a couple nice Time Machine browser applications out there that can make going through the backup files easier.

Just wondering if anyone can help with a recommendation for a scanner. I want to scan in my old lecture notes I have from university. They've been gathering dust under my bed and generally taking up space for years. It would be handy if I could transfer these notes to my Mac.

I'm looking for a scanner that comes in at under �200 (willing to go slightly higher if needed, although lower would be preferred). I'm unlikely to ever scan in any photos, umm ever! So my need is for this scanner to be always used to scan in documents that are txt based.

i think what cutyoursim is doing is quite legal.

My local vodafone charges 100euros (was 200euros last year) to unlock any iphone & get it registered on apple's servers.

ANY iphone? Or any vodafone iphone?

Gotta grab up a 1GB stick of DDR, which is unfortunately expensive.

Awww :( I sold my old 1GB iBook DDR RAM for $27 on here to a user... Whatever.. The iBook doesn't get any use, so it's kind of "free money" for me.

Also to connect a MacBook HDD externally, you would have to get an enclosure, like this (http://www.amazon.com/Acomdata-Tango-FireWire400-Drive-Enclosure/dp/B001Y15JPA) one. It has both FireWire and USB, so you can boot off of it. PowerPC Macs, such as your iBook could only boot off of FireWire.

let me start by saying that I just got my first mac ever (a new imac) last week.

last night I spend close to an hour just opening tons of different sized windows and using expose.

is this normal or is this the first sign of a mac addiction problem?

A quick question regarding the new Home Share feature in itunes.

I have updated my iPad to the 4.3 software and I can now stream vinyl rips from my macbook to the iPad which won't transfer via syncing. The albums are all 24bit/96khz so I'm wondering if anyone knows what they are being compressed to using home share.
