Simple. They don't have Republicans. They actually give a **** about each other and come together to help each other. In the US- it's every man for himself. Just ask a Libertarian.
Why does Lee continue to bury his head in the sand and ignore the FACTS that conservatives give FAR more money, time, blood to charity than liberals do. They also give a higher percentage of their own wealth to charity. Maybe it's just easier to continue and live a lie that all Republicans are only concerned with themselves even though the evidence is to the contrary. Yep, only communists and socialists care about other people. Only people who think government is the solution to all of our problems care about other people.
Oh what a tangled web we weave.

Because you were becoming irrationally exuberant - I thought that you needed some balance ;) .
I also wonder about this Intel diagram:
http://www.geekwithlaptop.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/intel-thunderbolt-3.jpg(click to enlarge)
If this applies to the Imac TBolt ports, then the two TBolt ports in fact share bandwidth from the single PCIe x4 connection. The combined max throughput of the two ports would be no better than that of a single TBolt port.
Another moot point, though, since no TBolt devices can be purchased.
Why would it be shared? There are 8 empty lanes so couldn't there be two x4 slots for TBs so both get their own?
TBH the 27" IMac is sounding very tempting with the double TB and SB
why on earth is the HDD not sata-3
i was planning on copping an IMac for my family home, as my parent and sisters love my MBP - but i really do not care if the IMac CPU is 10-15% faster, when the hdd only links to sata3 - as i would of put an owc ssd in!
Guess i will wait for a 2012 re-fresh when apple finally recognises sata-6
i hope, rather than giving us TB - which i love, but at this point in time is a little redundant as there is no TB equipped peripherals available - hopefully a next gen apple cinema display with OLED and TB would also get my cash!
You can get Thunderbolt SSD once the enclosures start to arrive in a month or two.

i went to two best buys and was told they did not have white iphones and don't know when they will be available. probably not for a month or so. they also said they can't guarantee anything, including getting the black iphone 4s on the 24th. they said they would call me later this week to let me know when i will be able to come pick up my phone. they said i will get a call before the 24th w/ this information and an appointment date and time . :(

Sorry, nothing changes. 4-5 week window 1 week ago, now a 3-4 week window...same thing. Only thing is 1 week has passed lol
Having said that I ordered mine Tuesday and it still says a ship date of 26th April, that is 6 weeks. I hope they send it earlier as I would be a little pissed if someone ordered today and got it earlier than the 26th April.

I'm going to MacWorld. I bought a user pass a few weeks ago. Dad followed suit since I've been home from school (30 mins from SF). So he got us tickets for 1 night at the Marriott down the street from Moscone! Paid BIG bucks for the hotel room thought...I felt kinda bad...
Oh well...Stevenote alone should be worth the sacrifice. I'm really exicited..

i guess you are right, in Germany we have for example a law to prevent demonstrators from covering their face , for my passport picture i was even asked to take off my glasses because of light ,really light reflections
i am a Biker , i have a a flip up (http://www.motorcycle-crash-helmets.co.uk/images/crash-helmets/mtr-k-10-flip-motorcycle-helmet.jpg) helmet
but even opening it complete i was asked to take it off at a lot of filling stations , despite everybody could see my complete face ,while women with a full veil or burka is not asked to take it off when entering a petrol station

I don't think Apple is dumb enough ot release it in December. Think of all the 5.5G returns they would have. While they could obviously still sell the unopened 5.5Gs think of all the time their employees would waste accepting returns when they could be selling more iPods and computers. I think it will either be out before Thanksgiving or sometime next year.

Hmmm, I'm not seeing any improvement in ppd even though the gtx 480 is humming right along. Foldingmon indicates it is doing about 14k ppd so I should see some difference, I will have to triple check to make sure I'm listed a the donor and not anonymous, hate to be loosing that many points

Funny that I wonder if those are/were the drink of choice of the people who made the laws...hmm!
Well, given some of the stupid stuff they do, they are drinking SOMETHING. Not all of them are stupid, because there has been a bill introduced two or three years in a row to increase the limit to 7% or 10%, but it has been shot down either in committee or on the floor each time. Supposedly, one of the ancient guys who has been there forever said something to the effect of "what's wrong with the beer we already have?"
Forgot to add that I really like Old Speckled Hen. Good stuff.

Quite a few people don't have good depth perception, or none at all.
People with unequal strength eyes will oftentimes grow up without much depth perception, to no ill effect.
Yup, I fall into this category. I have good vision from the perspective that it's sharp and I can see at different focal lengths, but I had a muscle weakness in my eyes as a child (partially corrected via surgery). As a result, 3D doesn't do a lot for me. The loss of brightness and slight lens glare is not worth the trade-off for the (for me) barely noticeable 3D effect in movies.
But something like this seems quite interesting.

Apple dugg a huge hole for themselves. They played with the marketing and PR department promising a truly revolutionary product like it is the case with each new iteration of the iphone and then the ppl believed and thought they REALLY REALLY need to have it.
Once they got it in their hands, they got offended that it is not working like they were told. Its understandable on one hand but on the other its just pure irony that the ppl really believe they need a new cell phone every year.
Its both sad and genius on Apples part.

Can't stand Budweiser/Miller Lite/any of that stuff. My favourite beers are from local breweries or are European. Most of the time, I find myself drinking Heineken or Stella.

I would gladly subscribe to iPad magazines. As it is, I subscribe to the print versions of the New Yorker, Wired, New York Magazine, Esquire and GQ. If I could get all of these magazines for a reasonable price on the iPad, I would gladly make the switch, if only to get rid of the pile of magazines I'm left with every month (after reading them). However, for the $5/issue they're charging now, no way. Although, I should mention that New York Magazine gives free access to its print subscribers, which is fantastic.

I would get one in like 2 years after it has gone through revisions and everyone else has had problems with it. Sure I'll want one. But I'm happy for now since I have the kewlest phone out - Nokia 8801!
I agree with that sentiment, if only because I'm on contract with my phone for another year and a half. By that time, we'll know how viable the phone and service is, and whether it's actually worth it (let alone it's a reality or not :) .)

All true, but this is just vested self-interest. All countries are in it for themselves.
Besides, the U.S. loves having an Israel in the Middle East.
Keeps the oil barons on their toes.
The USA needs to stop befriending Israel.. that monsterous state has been RESPONSIBLE for crimes against humanity and its government is just as EVIL as the government of the former USSR. But then again, zionism is another form of racism and apartheid.
Its time to CUT support for Israel.. let them fend for themselves.

My orginal shipping was 4 -5 weeks, after this announcement, the date move from April 22nd to April 21st. One day is not 2 to 3 weeks. Come on Apple. The UK got a better deal than the US.

guess you haven't seen the pictures i put up in the Macrumors Pics!! Thread LoL.....
the way the gauges work is weird, smallest is 20, but your most common is 18, the lower the number the bigger the size. its weird, i know. i can't squirt anything through my labret, its only a 14.... maybe if it was 12 or bigger. so 2 would be a bit more than double what i have now...
here is what a quick search turned up Linky (http://www.tribalectic.com/SizingInfo.asp)
A word of caution on gauge size and nipple piercing. Smaller gauges may have eye appeal, but in "play" they can be hazardous. Think of a a cheese or butter slicer (the thin wire on a handle). Heard and seen more than a few instances of accidents happening.

Yeah, except they forgot to include HD-DVD. :p
Microsoft is falling into Sony's little trap: they've got the advantage of making a profit because Sony's got a higher priced console, BUT Sony's also losing money for us consumers. Once everyone realizes that, and adds the prices up for the things the 360 is missing (such as wireless and HD-DVD), man does a PS3 seem like an incredible value. Not only that, the 1.6 update really kicks the PS3 up a notch in functionality. They've also got a greater variety of games coming out...We'll see how this turns out.
And really, I feel really sorry for the people that bought a 360 only a couple months ago...It's a shame that Microsoft has to be childish.
Smart ass:p Childish was probably the wrong word.
Also wouldn't Sony Computer Entertainment still be making a profit from PS2 console, software and accessory sales even though they loose money on every PS3?

Uhm, what is everyone talking about?
Obviously it's not network traffic, because apple isn't going to provide us with a better "network" traffic service.
Also, why is everyone bringing up turn by turn?
The better "traffic service" likely means that Apple will be able to know the speed of vehicles on the road, and from that decide how well traffic is moving through a specific highway. That way if someone wanted to open up the maps application and see what traffic is like, they could see this because there could likely be enough people on that road with iPhones reporting traffic movement. This data is reported to Apple and they will respond back to that map user with the current traffic flow.
Google already does this (http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/08/bright-side-of-sitting-in-traffic.html), and since Apple purchased a mapping company while ago, I assume they are just doing the same.
