My Hit Radio Free... listen to the music that you own in a new way, new highly rated songs play more, and you'll hear songs that you haven't heard in awhile, just like the radio. It won't get stale!

It is possible to have the songs in two formats on iTunes, although I don't know how Sonos would deal with it.
I know iTunes can definitely do it. Not sure about sonos.
Thanks :)
I would like to isolate the songs I have and use on my Iphone 4 32GB into one separate folder/directory - so that I know these songs are for my Iphone ONLY, meaning they won't contain any lossless files, which takes up too much space on my 32 GB limited Iphone 4 music player.
Is this possible ?
I could in theory have my full music folder on my 2 TB Time Capsule for my Sonos and then have the music I only use for my Iphone on my internal HDD drive in my iMac...... maybe this is the solution, so the music does not get mixed up !?!

MacTheKnife errr TheGayBlad has posted is latest NMR report and this one seems to spill a whole lot of beans... Some of the best quotes are quoted below.
http://www.macedition.com/nmr/nmr_20020914.php
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The heretofore-unspoken name of IBMs G4 Replacement is GPUL (short for GigaProcessor UltraLite). It is Multi-core, 64-bit Microprocessor that supports Vector/SIMD Multimedia eXtension (VMX), the generic Title for the Technologies comprising Altivec (a k a Velocity Engine).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looks like that name that Moki was using over on the AI boards now has an official meaning! GPUL is the internal name of that new IBM PPC that is gonna be presented at the Microprocessor Forum next month!!! Wait it gets even more interesting...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Most Worthy CPU also being fine-tuned to work with the Apple Processor Interconnect bus (ApplePI), Apples Replacement for the venerable MaxBus. Mac OS X is already booting happily on Prototype Units.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
ApplePI?!?!? I know I've heard that codename used before but it had to be 8 or 9 months ago now... Well seems like that codename too now has 'real meaning' Apple Processor Interconnect an (assumed) high speed replacement for the MaxBus... Something that many think is holding us back and it now seems that Apple agrees.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alas, GPUL does not appear to be in the Cards for Januarys Generation of Apple Systems. IBM had Mac OS X running on GPUL by November was delivering Prototypes to Apple by March of this Year, and was testing prototype Mac Hardware Systems and core Apple Application Software by April. Nevertheless,
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well I didn't want to hear that part but it can't be all good news all the time... But it sure was nice to read the confirmation on a few codenames that have been floating around for a while now.
Also if it's true that the 1st prototypes for this CPU were in Apples hands back in March 2002 and Apple was already testing initial prototype systems only a month later then come MacWorld NY or maybe even before we should finally see the GPUL err G5 CPU!
TGB isn't your 3rd rate rumor monger who will post anything and everything that hits his mailbox and what he does post is usually pretty level headed and turns out to be true... Needless to say most of his rumors are NOT the juiciest tidbits you've ever read (no 3Ghz quad processors nor iWalk crud) but in this case that's a really good thing...
Cause to me this be one juciest rumor I've seen in a while! (one that I can trust anyway)

What I don't understand why is their so much news about 4.3.1, when everyone said stay away from it. Their is no 4.3 news anywhere. Is 4.3 not being jailbroken?

Gus: I thought about storing them as both music and data (I've got room right now, as I've only got around 9GB of music), but I decided that wouldn't work well as a long-term solution.
As of right now, I'm keeping a "data" copy of all of the music on my old external hard drive for backup purposes.

Very early CD burners were CD-R only and didn't support CD-RW. Either that is the case with yours, or your Memorex media is in some way not compatible with older CD-RW drives.

I had just been hired to work at a large foundation two weeks prior to September 11. Since I was living in San Francisco at the time and the foundation was across town, I had to get up pretty early to make the two bus transfers that would get me there by 9am.
My alarm was set for 5:45am Pacific (8:45am Eastern), so I was waking up right as the first plant hit the WTC. At the time, I listened to one of those stupid morning DJ shows - "Sarah and Vinnie," and both were kind of off-the-wall almost every day. So after a song ends, Vinnie breaks in and reports that a plane just hit the WTC and makes a crack about bad piloting. A couple more songs play, and the 6am news update hits. In the meantime, I had rolled out of bed and popped on the TV to see what was happening - sure enough, there was a gaping hole in the top of the WTC on all networks.
With the 6am news droning on in the background on the radio, I turned up the volume on the TV - as I was doing so, I caught the second plane hitting the WTC live as it happened. Suddenly, from the radio I heard Vinnie (who was always kind of a numbnutz) scream "oh, *****, a second plane just hit the other tower, I just saw it on TV!" At which point both Sarah and Vinnie stopped talking for a second, and one of them said, "This is a lot more serious than it looks, that was no coincidence. I think all bets are off for today."
I got up and turned on CNN in the main room of our apartment and it really looked like all hell broke loose. I couldn't take myself away from the TV, but did call a good friend to tell him to, "wake the hell up and turn on your TV now!"
About 7:30 (when I was still in my bathrobe and should have been leaving to catch my first bus), my mother rang in on the telephone - apparently, my cousin, who was a NYC Firefighter was called from off shift to help with rescue efforts and my aunt was terrified. Got another phone call from work saying "don't come in today!" and stayed watching the tele until about 4pm.
Incidentally, my cousin couldn't be reached the entire day, so when the buildings collapsed the family feared the worst. He finally rang in sometime in the early morning Sept. 12 to say he was OK.
One of those days you remember every detail, that's for sure. Kind of like Challenger disaster when I was in 8th grade in NH and no-one knew what was going on.
[Edit]:
We'd just been in New York two years prior to 9/11. I'd recored the whole trip with my video camera. A short bit of it included the Trade Centre ... standing right at the bottom looking straight up.
I was living in NYC until Jan 1999 - went to three meetings and one government reception in the WTC buildings. The reception was at Windows on the World, the restaurant at the top of one of the towers. The views were spectacular...

One of the things I've always liked about higher res monitors is that my palettes and toolbars are very small. Thus I can fit more palettes on the screen at one time and not have them get in the way.
I hope resolution independence doesn't make my palettes huge, like they look on lower res monitors.

By all means get the polarizer and use it . It'll cut glare off the water and , if you go walking around the open , 'ponded' areas of Lox. it'll darken up the sky nicely and bring up any clouds . Hat and sunblock are also a good idea if you're like me and sunburn easily.

Well, wouldn't describe that as being integration by any means, its more attaching one haphazardly to the other.
I'm sure that could be done much, much better.

This doesn't sound like an error from WebView itself, but an "error" page that's being served from the web application you're trying to access. Try spoofing the user agent.
BTW WebView always uses Safari's WebKit engine regardless of your default browser. That is if you make Firefox your default browser, your program wouldn't start embedding Firefox into your window.

Maybe try resetting your PRAM (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=2238) too, because it's kinda fun. :p
Agreed, start the machine up with P, R, Alt & the Apple key held down (simultaneously) until you hear the startup tone twice the release any carry on booting. Does it still do it after this?

iDive looks like a good way to catalog. I'll check it out. Do you suggest importing in DV format or any other one?
Considering NAS for the scaleability. Kinda sold on the on the Raid X Netgear hot-swapable capability and redundancy (ReadyNas NV+). 3-4 drives inside, one fails I just swap it out. I understand 1000g ethernet doesn't pose much more lag than USB if any. I have a 1T drive hanging off the back. 2/3 is time machine, and the other partitian is almost filled up with just some random dvd burns. I'm anticipating more transfers of personal movies especially when I figure out how to do the super-8's. probably 100 films.. My wife and I have tons of CD's to boot I'd like to put into my electronic library. I thought the Time Capsule was an eligant solution but I'm looking for scaleability and redundancy for now. Behind my iMac is cluttered enough with about 3 other smaller externals I used to transfer files from my old PC.

If he wants to trade, ask for the computer and $250. The new 13" is considerably faster in benchmarks, has a pretty comparable GPU, better battery, etc. I'd just buy what you want and keep it

Don't underestimate the power of javascript. There is a lot of good stuff out there but there's also a lot of "hello world" type dross. If you're serious about it, an excellent resource is JavaScript: The Definitive Guide (http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/jscript4/). Online there's The Strange Zen of JavaScript (http://jszen.blogspot.com/) and the legendary and incredibly useful QuirksMode (www.quirksmode.org/).

There is not a viable read (bootable) install of either 10.4 or 10.5 on the primary hard drive. So you have a few options. If you want to stick with mac os? You need to either make your way to www.lowendmac.com, or ebay. to get a copy at a price you can afford. Or you might want to look at www.distrowatch.com for some viable alternatives. Granted Linux on the PPC arch is going out of style and fast, but for the time being it could be a fix to get you up and running until you can get a viable boot disk of Tiger or Leopard.

upgrading the ram is a must 1 gb is a bit low today and as your mini has a intel gma 950 its shared graphics which makes it even more important to upgrade ram PC2-5300 DDR2 sodimm your mini can take 1 gb in one slot and 2 gb in the other so 3 gb ram in total , so if you got the money upgrade to 3 gb , if not just upgrade to 2 gb thats should improve things significantly , if you really want to spend something as you need to open the mini anyway to upgrade the ram ,upgrade to a 7200rpm harddrive
